Coco Peat

Cocopeat

Coconut peat/ coir fibre piths/coir peat dust is natural pith extracted from the husk of coconut and peat moss is widely used in potting mix. It withholds high percentage of water, just like a sponge. Cocopeat brick is a product that is a substitute for the ordinary soil for the purpose of gardening and horticulture.

Cocopeat is made to absorb water and gain its volume and become perfect for the growth of plants.

Cocopeat Blocks

Coir dust or coir pith is a byproduct gained during extraction of Coir fiber from coconut husk. It is purely a natural organic product. Coir dust composted or old mulched dust is collected-screened-dried before making into bale or small block. It is a natural, unique, spongy cellulose organic plant growing media usable in garden centers, horticulture, nurseries. This has high water retention capacity to plant growth. This block/bale is dissolved easily in water. Coir dust bales are individually wrapped in polythene cover or supplied in naked block basis.

Cocopeat Bricks

The coir pith serves as a totally new and unique medium for the domestic growers to grow their plants. It is totally organic and fully safe to use as it is sterile to weeds. It is a totally pathogen free sustainable resource having a neutral pH which helps in facilitating the faster growth of the plants in gardens and greenhouses. The coir pith also facilitates faster development of the roots of the plants by providing maximum nutrition. It has a water retention capacity of almost 77% which makes it very useful for retaining the useful nutrients and water from leaching out.

Cocopeat Husk Chips

The husk chips are one of the major by-products obtained from the coconut husks while extracting the coir fibre. The husk chips are very useful for various types of gardening works. They are ideally used in flower beds in the gardens. The extensive use of the husk chips is witnessed in the orchids and anthurium. The main purpose of using the husk chips is to cover the ground efficiently where the chips retain the moisture in the ground and prevent the essential soil nutrients from leaching out thereby providing the plants with enough nutrition to have a healthy growth.

COCOPEAT BALES

Coir fibre is the major product that is extracted from the coconut husk. Coir fibres have a multitude of different applications and they are available in blocks and bales as well. The coir fibres are generally used in the production of ropes, mats and mattresses. The coir fibres that are extracted from the inner layer of the outer part of the coir husk are used in large scale production of the ropes, mattresses and brushes.Coir fibre is also the main product used in manufacturing the geotextiles. Geotextiles have a wide range of uses.

COCOPEAT BUFFERED

Buffering is a time-consuming process and it starts with proper flushing and rinsing of the coir with clean water. This extensive washing with clean water removes the water soluble particles. Once the process of washing with water is completed then the coir is rinsed well with a solution of calcium nitrate for a long time. This removes the residual Sodium-Potassium complex in the coir along with all the elements that bond easily with the coir cation exchange.
